Nodding, Chu-e grabbed the walkie talkie he totally had the entire time and called down to the officers. He waited for their responses before turning to Zac Ramsay. "They're going to clear out a room for us to question them in. We should probably do them one at a time so no, uh... cross contamination? None of that happens."

Waving it off a bit, Chu-e started to lead Zac back down from where they had come.

"The obvious choice... sometimes it can be that simple. What's that whole thing about the easiest solution being the most likely? But, I feel like there's something more going on here. For all we know, both of them upstairs are lying through their teeth."

When they got downstairs, they were greeted by an officer. She explained they had the three people in question, it was just a matter of who they wanted to speak with first.

She had bright red hair, tied in a low ponytail, and was dressed in her bar uniform still. Her outfit was wrinkled where it once looked fresh pressed, bags under her eyes. She grimaced at first seeing Zac Ramsay and Chu-e, but did eventually sigh and offer a tight smile.

Where were you when the disturbance happened?

"First floor, in the bar. Doing my job, ya' know? Not much about it. Wouldn't have known anything was happening if Maddie hadn't called me all panicked."

Was anyone with you?

"Misty was! She was gettin' her usual drink on. Saw The Clamber's coming back from somewhere a little while before that."

Have you seen anything suspicious lately?

At this question, Samantha bites out a laugh.

"Someone always suspicious in a bar. I'm lucky this place is usually quiet. But, no, no more than usual."

Before the woman could answer, one of the officers burst into the room. It startled Chu-e, who almost fell from his seat and dropped his pen.

"Sirs! The culprit just confessed to the crimes!" Was what the officer said. Behind him, if they looked into the room, they could see what looked like a man in a priest uniform being handcuffed and led out of the building.

"Huh." Chu-e huffed, leaning over to grab for his pen. "Well, this was anticlimactic. I was hoping for a lot more twists and turns. Maybe a few clues and puzzles like this was a Nancy Drew book."
